We took a cruise to Alaska and one of the stops was Anchorage I was shocked at the number of what I assumed were druggies from the looks of them.

The local food bank delivers to the slum. City has 'medical folks' stop to attend to any needs.The moeny they do get, gets spent at the nearby Rocket Store (7/11) int he booze section. They shit in the woods outside of their hooch and generally made a nuisance case of themselves. The are the Darlings of the ACLU. The City Council and mayor are hard left socialists, but they pander to the Muni Unions and so stay in power.

My local city has spent the last few months cleaning up these homeless camps that seam to only attract the dregs of society that were basically kicked out of the larger cities.
Around here cold weather still drives them south, they put high power LED lights under bridges and other "bedrooms" to make it less hospitable for sleeping No camps...yet.
