Where to find 330 IBC Totes? I use to get them from a flavor company, but they are no longer giving them out. I saw some totes for sale at , but they were asking $80 plus for a dirty tote excluding shipping..
Come September, I will have a bunch of them... For Free... Local Pickup ONLY... Excursion Inlet, Alaska 99850.....
Check your local commercial airport. De-icing fluid comes in your size. (Or you can rent a boat and drag a slew of them home from Excursion Inlet. After all, they float ---)
Do you think craigslist is safe? Like how do you really know they had a safe material in them previously?
I am not sure where you are at but I would check around to see if there is a recycling resale place. Here in CO there is a company that collects containers then resells them. I have seen the totes you are looking for on Craig's List but like you, I was unsure what was previously in them.
And there you have it the expert has spoken... no you don't know what was in it, unless it still has a label, same with any container re-sale place, I don't use any reused container for water... Rancher
There are a couple of large distributors in my area that have several grades and types for sale at various prices, all cleaned up and ready for final shock treatment. You have to use common sense as well as your sense of sight and smell. I'd ask questions to the seller as to what was originally shipped in them. The nicer ones here are twice what your dirty ones are, but compare to a water tank and they are a tremendous bargain. When I'm settled I plan on six 330 gal tanks, once will be drained each year watering the garden so each gets fresh water every six years and I always have 1,700 to 2,000 gallons on hand.
