Why Every Man Needs a Challenge | The Art of Manliness Are you being challenged, if not, find that big thing that is a challenge for you personally, pick a stand on an issue and fight for your opinion/right/what have you!! Just don't get stuck.....get moving!!
I read last night that only 10 to 20 percent of people can stay calm and think in the midst of a survival emergency. We like to think that if SHTF we would be up for the challenge yet you would never know until faced with it. I think my greatest challenge is to avoid ruts in life. I challenge myself to keep growing and expanding knowledge, skills, strength and patience, all the while having a level head.
I'm prolly in the 80‰...=) Seriously... I find most people can't think in everyday life. Not trying to be mean... I just find that most can't think ahead.... If you can't think we'll on a normal day you are going to die in an emergency.... Unless you are lucky and sometimes luck is enough Opps apologies Yard Dart we got off the topic of manliness [emoji8]
I would like to imagine that I am the 10% but sadly I know that I get narrow vision when crisis happens. Maybe with catastrophe my vision would broaden but one never knows until tested. When I get a paper cut I will P & M like someone lopped off my arm, yet real hurt seems to propel me forward- cracked ribs, child birth and getting organs removed seems to give me strength. It is odd but I go zen and get strength from the pain.
