A friend invited me over to a friend of his to see their solar set-up as they had a few problems. It ended up being a battery isolation switch that was off even when in the on position. Not worthy or interesting enough for a post, but sitting around after the diagnoses and repair was. The owner is an ex three letter government employee who took retirement at 62 when Biden came into office. He immediately cashed in and bought 27 acres at inflated prices and has built a completely self sufficient homestead for his, his sons, and an ex co-workers families. In 2 years time a stand of virgin timber now is home to livestock, fields, gardens, a massive solar array, 3 wells including a 12" shallow well with a bucket system. 4 to 6 feet tall berms are around a good portion of the perimeter, pushed up when the fileds were cleared along the property lines and planted with blackberry. The driveway has 2 90 degree turns and stops at a parking area out of sight of the homes. The only utility is Starlink internet. It is a preppers dream facility. Once we started talking after the tour, I found out this man is 1000% convinced the American way of life will end at the end of the Biden administration. He says all of the pieces are in place to starve out the majority of the population through food shortages and price increases, and that the average man will not be able to feed himself very shortly. His reasoning, based on information he claims to have seen, is that the ,gov knows it can not win against its own people and can never disarm us sufficiently to try given that a large percentage of law enforcement and military will side with the people. He claims that the new strategy is to have us kill each other over food. He also says this plan involves many governments worldwide, not just ours, and that all of our elected scum in Washington know this. I pass this along for informational purposes only as I can't verify any of it, other than the measures this guy has taken and the look in his eye that tells me he believes very strongly everything he told me. I am now his new electrical guy, and he insisted on paying me with a big package of his steaks he raised there. I have invited him here as well, although he wasn't too keen on joining anything, but he did promise to look around. I promised him to be vague in my post about his place.
Ok…. guess I’m a good bit skeptical. Here is a flaw in the prediction: Suppose there are food fights, mass starvation, etc. The survivors from the masses will be a mix of the prepared right and the most violent of the left who murder and ambush without the moral inhibitions the right typically harbor. Neither of those are going to be sheep the elite can herd.
Interesting. It has given me the idea of putting a berm at least in the front of the property...need to think about this some more. First, can you say which 3-letter agency? I think this might add more credibility to his prediction...maybe. I also think it has become very obvious that many other countries have become fed up with American world dominance and are covertly playing their part to decrease our power and influence - a lot of them - like even our Northern neighbor. I assume this plan is not widely known in the government, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is but one plan of many and that many different parts of the government have many different plans without other parts of the government or country aware of their existence, but their intent is all the same - chaos. As far as feasibility, I think it is hard to say. Frankly, they wouldn't have to decrease food shortages much to increase food prices to have devastating effects. Honestly, I don't think it would take much. I do not think they could cause famine but that is not their intent as much as it is to simply cause havoc and chaos. Given the small farmer pretty much is the thing of the past and major corporations own the majority of farms and it has become glaringly obvious that major corporations and government are tied at the hip (Fascism?) - well - is this really unbelievable? I would say yes and it truly seems that Biden and many of his agencies are doing things for no logically reason but to cause chaos. The border is a good example. Thinking more about this scenario, this would give the government justification to actually step in and seize firearms for the protection of the public, only temporary of course...yeah, right. EDIT: Thinking more about this... Given the outlay in money for property of this size and the cost of doing what he has done with it (numerous well, solar, defense, etc.) I would assume this individual would be not your normal government employee, more towards the top echelon of government type. A SES type? I think he would have to be to acquire the necessary finances for such an endeavor or be damn lucky with investments.
Are you placing a berm for government men to hide behind while shooting at you? A ditch will offer the same protection. However a blank field with nothing to hide behind might make them a bit more nervous about taking you on.

LOL! You know, strangely I came to the same conclusion! Great minds think alike...or is it strange minds think alike? LOL!!!!
He was a computer guy, if that helps. He explained the berms like this: Too steep to cross with a vehicle, blackberry briars make crossing on foot troublesome and painful, and the one section visible from the residences will silhouette someone as they come over.
