Yeah, we got lots of them around here also. One needs to be careful when driving here due to these guys for if one goes in the road then all of them follow. The wife chases them off with rocks whenever they're around. She has a vendetta against them for some reason...I think she found them trying to get into her garden which even an intent would mean an immediate declaration of war.
Your wife is smart, that's why. They're a nuisance, and in town we can't even shoot the monsters. They're all over the place just south of us, but we have a number of birds of prey out in our area that keep them at bay. I got my free turkey at winco. Canned it. We're good for the month.
I haven't seen or heard any in a couple of years. I think the hogs moved in and pushed them out. We're certainly in a spike on birds of prey.
Haven't seen or heard any turkeys recently, but bald eagles, fox and more recently damned coyotes. Rabbit and squirrel population has taken a hard hit.
