I am not necessarily a Corvette guy, but this is a pretty crazy Vette and definitely worth sharing. With all the nastiness in life inundating us daily, there's nothing like the sound of 3500 horses of American iron just rippin' down the quarter mile to clear the mind. wow, @GOG, they bought a brand new one 2014 and made it over. Wow, how neat. You are right about the sound. Sure brings back some memories. Thank you for posting.
@UncleMorgan As he has me by ~2800 at the tires I doubt I can catch him. However, mine has have tags.
Sweet! I can't remember which model, but I always liked the "stinger" hoods too. A '63 split window is probably my dream Vette.
@GOG That would be way too much, at least for me. Plus, the rest of the power train would need rebuilt to handle it. That is a centrifugal supercharger or a belt driven compressor. The crank pulley spins a gear box that spins the rotor. As they lack plumbing, Centris are easier to install, Other than 75# injectors, serpentine belt and cold plugs, the only modification to the engine was a new dampener or crank pulley. The stock one is pressed on and the new is doweled.
LOL, although it is not a daily driver, I plan on it. Rebuilt the engine over a few years. The previous owner accepted funny noises from engine means it isn't worth much.
I used to be a pretty serious car guy, I still am sort of, but these days it's at a distance and mostly mental. Priorities changed over the past years, but I still like to look and listen.
