I hate working with it, but this might be the prettiest knife yet! Of course I just figgered out how to do better finishes too and that helps alot. It's not near done but the handle is roughed out and it's killer! This is for Seacowboys! Here's one going out tomorrow in Tigerwood Dymondwood:
That looks great!.... I really like the ivory micarta.... kinda makes a classy looking "using" knife..... Hey Melbo.... I believe those are mosaic pins.... do a search on the web for knife mosaic pins and you'll find a dazzling array of beautiful pins for knives....
Yep, mosaic pins and the stuff costs $30/ft. On your first small knife, Melbo, I threw away 2" of that stuff when I ruined it and 2 " on another one I ruined. Gets expensive to be stupid! I have it with brass outside and with stainless. Melbo's new small knife is about done and has silver pins because of my drill bit fiasco but that's over and his matching large knife will have mosaic pins.
I just got it sanded to 400 grit - the problem now is keeping the stuff white! Everytime I hit it with sandpaper it gets dark - anyone got white sandpaper?
