Thinking of getting a Flu shot this year?

    Consider this article:

Why you should NOT get the flu vaccine (substack.com)

I'm skipping this year as there is no hard evidence that the shot is not contaminated with the damn mRNA crap. I'll take my chances.

I got a flu shot the first year I got back, just one time, then I asked myself, "It's their best guess about which flu is going to spread, not a certainty, and if I don't get the flu shot and catch it then natural immunity is much better than any flu shot so...why bother." I don't get them anymore. Now, I am not saying that vaccines aren't useful, even necessary, see how fast I scramble to get a smallpox shot if I go off to Africa, just saying that I think the flu shot really isn't necessary. As far as the mRNA Covid crap, I will take my chances and think my chances are better with natural immunity. Maybe my opinion will change in the coming years after they have got more data and time with it but for now - no thank you.

EDIT: Also, it is the CDC, WHO, and the entire health industry fault that they have loss our trust in their products and them. The way the Covid pandemic was handled was a nightmare and totally unnecessary. So, in layman terms, they can go pound sand.

I no longer have complete faith in the Medical Care Machine. I may get a flu shot, but only after I have reviewed it thoroughly. I no longer rubber stamp anything the authorities have to say, in fact they have to prove to me that I can trust them on any single subject. This is the true legacy of COVID 19. Our medical authorities are all about control and compliance and not about health.

Only time that I got the flu shot was when our office got downsized .. meaning old 2 people to a cube to 6 people to a cube.
And knowing that most folks come into work sick and power through as a badge of loyalty.
For the love of all things holy, ya got sick days. Use them.

Anyway, work from home means no forced exposure to idiots. ;)

While at the VA with my yearly checkup ,, the nurse and doctor asked if I wanted the flu shot ,, I said NO ,, then asked about the vaccine ,, NO ,,,, they both agreed with me ,,, and I'm far less of an experienced health care proffesional than either of them . So that'll make ya question the efficacy of the product for sure .

I think it’s a good idea to ask your doctor to see what they say. Keep their answer in mind when getting other recommendations. Are they:
1: Parroting the medical community recommendations?
2: Telling you what they think you want to hear?
3: Really telling you what they recommend?

If there is a reasonable chance that flu will put you on the hospital, probably should get it.
Because if you end up in the hospital they'll kill you.
We now the koof jab is bullshit so don't bother with it.

Have been getting flu-vax shots for many years, including this year's iteration. No ill effects. Haven't had influenza for many years, and have thus far avoided Covid infection, though members of my extended family have contracted that contagion. (Have had 2 x Astras, 1 x Pfizer and x2 Moderna vaccinations since the beginning of the pandemic, plus hygiene measures and social distancing, particularly in the early stages of the Covid pandemic before general public vaccination programs took effect has probably also helped).

Disclaimer to the meme above...some flu vaccines do use a live, but attenuated virus: refer to links below...most don't, and in some jurisdictions, only the non live vaccines are available..

Oh, also, I do not shake hands during cold/flu season once it kicks in during the winter.
Sorry, don't push me on that or I'll ask ya in public whether or not you washed your hands before you left the restroom.

I go back and forth on this subject. In the military I was forced to get an annual flu shot. Prior to computer tracking I just paid attention to the medics initials to my shot records and flat out forged them. I never caught the flu all those years. Once the computer tracking caught up with me each year I was ordered to receive the flu shot I came down with nasty cold like symptoms that lasted about two days. Those in power stated it was impossible because we were being injected with a dead virus. Well, I have no idea exactly what I was being ordered to inject into my body but it made me sick 3 out of 5 times. There were a whole lot of other needles poked into my system that we had no say on and the medics either would not or could not tell us what they were. We of course had a choice. Get the shot and hope for the best or deny the shot and become a instant civilian with a less than honorable discharge that would follow us all the years of our lives.

Fast foreword to being released from my military service I caught the flu twice. I remember thinking I was so sick I wasn't going to call for an ambulance to get me to a hospital because the thought of being moved was more than I could bear at the time. Those two instances were the sickest I have ever been in my life.

Now enter this covid issue. About two years into it, I contracted it. No rhyme or reason for it. I was sick but it wasn't nearly as bad as my prior bouts with the "regular" influenza. Mostly headache and sweats with a lot of residual congestion. The recovery time was substantially much longer. This entire inoculation process is nothing more than a best guess by the virologists. It's either going to be right on the mark or way off and will do nothing for you. I'm not buying into this "vaccination" because it does not keep you from contracting or spreading any of it. The only thing I can see is it "might" help mitigate some of the symptoms. If we are ever hit with another really resilient form of influenza like that of around WWI we are in some deep kimchi.

For the first 25 years of my life, I never took a flu shot, and I remember only one bout of the ' real honest to GOD can't get out of the bed flu' while I was in college! Then, I took the shot for the next 20 years because my Father wanted all employees to have the shot and he paid for it. During that time, I never had the flu. In the last 20 years I have only taken the flu shot a few times and despite working with the public have not had the flu. I don't plan on taking it this year either. Unless my health requires it in the future or there is a REALLY bad strain going round, I don't plan on ever taking it again.

Next pandemic will be Marburg or Ebola. If one believes the conspiracy theorists.

If it's Marburg or Ebola, I'm going home and locking the gate behind me until it's over! Either of those would be a real pandemic!
