The fly in this ointment, it doesn't fall upon the V.A. to "Enforce" anything, as it was, the shooter wasn't even covered by the V.A. so they couldn't have done anything, and lastly, it was the Military who failed to report the shooter to NICS! So, no, he is not immune here, and congress needs to absolutely obliterate the V.A's stance! As it is, they are all citing to "Brady" and not Sutherland Springs, not even sure how Brady fits into all this, but the V.A. has no right or authority here, and absolutely must follow what ever congress passes into law!
As a retired federal civil service employee, if you have an issue with most anything government related, you might as well make yourself act like a compass, with Congress being magnetic north. Meaning, you have NO idea how fucked up working for Uncle Sam is, with that collection of fools making up the rules as they go along. Blame the JoBama administration as much as you want.
