Late teen Carlo Acutis approved to become first millennial saint : NPR captioned - A teen tech whiz nicknamed 'God's influencer' will become the first millennial saint The article claims a pair of miracles attributed to the kid. As a former catholic, I can only shake my head.
As a former Anglican (Episcopalian) I can only marvel that the Catholic Church is tentively entering the 21st Century: Unfortunately, the basis for validating 'miracles' still resides in the medieval era. The Acutis beatification and sainthood is what it is, a marketing ploy for relevance in the digital age...I shouldn't be surprised at AI beatification in the future, so long as the AI influencer is promoting the Catholic Church. Saint Seiya perhaps?
As someone who has seen the deep dark side of Catholicism and have a life time Hatred of that Church, the SHAM of Sainthood is nothing more then a publicity stunt for a Church who are their own worst enemy! Let them believe however they wish, but don't take anything from that church seriously, EVER!
My Mom died a hard-core Catholic. When I left home, I went freelance. \ Everyone else in my family cut that cord decades ago. A friend of my brother was molested by one of the local priests, just one of thousands. The catholic organization lost any semblance of 'moral high ground' long before that.
