Well, it did remind me that I still need a new sleeping bag...I really like those military bags, wish I'd brought my back with me, but won't use it enough to justify $400 so have to see what else is available.
I must admit that I did quick searches just to get links, although I did limit it to "good" ratings ( and above). There are a number of places you can get brand new 4 piece MSS kits for under $300 and in some places under $200. Will post some shortly but wanted to post Amazon links as well...kick-back to the monkey dontchaknow. Not anymore, but at one time I did. I had a 6 and a 5-cell. Won't repeat what we used to call them in general.
Did, but I don't remember it it went overboard when the boat was foundered or if my ex sold it at a garage sale. That was one HEAVY flashlight.
I have a 6 cell mag light that lights up everything like daytime...... and would work in a pinch for self defense!!
We have two of the older Black 4Cell Maglites, and one of the Newer 4Cell RED Maglites all using the Krypton Bulbs... Does anyone make an LED replacement Bulb? Well I Googled it, and YES they do make replacement LED Bulbs for 4Cell MagLites.. on Amazon.com with Prime Shipping... $10US EACH...
Yes, three of them. When I was still a long haul driver some states gigged you for having a budd bar or tire billy within reach from the drivers seat. A nice hefty Maglite served the purpose of a noggin' knocker nicely. Of course a 1911A1 resided within reach just inside the sleeper should things be desperate but highly illegal for cdl interstate drivers back then and maybe still is idk. Most diesel cops wouldn't say anything but it just takes one prick to wind you up in jail. Anyhoo I still keep them around and working. One is way over twenty years old.
