The students have organized again and they are marching on S &W. Personally I would not walk around Springfield MA without a gun. Even David Hogg is going to join this march though I doubt he will be there for the full walk. Mr Hogg has armed guards whenever he attends these anti-gun events. These kids want S & W to stop making guns. I wonder if they considered the jobs, taxes etc that Smith and Wesson brings to the Springfield area.

Mass. Teens Lead a Gun Reform March to Smith & Wesson in Springfield
“This 50 Mile walk is about accountability,” student organizer Vikiana Petit-Homme said in a statement. “Smith & Wesson continues to profit from guns used in horrific mass shootings and daily gun violence in our communities. We have had enough. We are demanding that they work with us to be a part of the solution, not the problem.”

Joined by Parkland shooting survivor and gun reform activist David Hogg, marchers plan to meet at Worcester City Hall at 9:30 a.m., then head out for the journey to Springfield. It’s not clear how many will be taking part. As of Tuesday afternoon, 64 said on a Facebook event page they would attend.

Protesters are making two demands of the Massachusetts gun manufacturer, according to a release:

    1. Cease the manufacture and distribution of all weapons outlawed under the 2004 Massachusetts Assault Weapons Ban including Attorney General Maura Healey’s copycat weapon enforcement.

    2. Donate $5,000,000 to research violence caused by Smith & Wesson weapons and monitor illegal use of Smith & Wesson weapons to offset the lack of federal research funding for the gun violence epidemic.

Man-oh-man! I hope S&W closes there and bring their factory here to Northern Idaho. We would welcome them with open arms!

I wonder if they read the Obama CDIC report that shows firearms save something like 20 lives for every person murdered with one? I wonder if Molly Tibbets would have wanted a Smith & Wesson product just before she was stabbed to death by an undocumented Democrat?

Mister Hogg was not at school the day of the shooting. NOT AT SCHOOL. He isn't a vicit, he is a tool of the Left.

As an aside, his daddy is FBI - was little Davy kept out of school because pops knew something was going down? Oddly, I've yet to see any LSM ask the question...

Parkland would never have happened if the local law enforcement and the FBI not dropped the ball.

I want to know how many teens can actually walk 50 miles.

I wonder if he timeshares armed guards with Alyssa Milano and other high profile anti gun idiots? Classic leftist "all things for me, but none for thee" behavior

What's the point of this march...?
Its not the company's fault nor is the gun itself to blame for any harm that occurs when it is misused.

How 'bout these teens fight / march for :
    More counselors in the schools...
A better system / plan to keep them safe in the event of a school shooter...
The teaching of a basic firearms course , no politics , just firearm safety , firearm ID , and basic ballistics...
A better system of mental health care ....
A school system that works for the students and not a state / federal mandated standard...

Nor would I, and driving isn't much better. My kids live not too far away from Spfld, and one of them quit a perfectly good job due to the exposure. Now and then, I get into that area for one or another reason, and I assiduously avoid Spfld absent a good reason to get off the Pike, of which there have been none in over 20 years. Oddly, the County Court house is in the center of the worst area. S&W is a bit off the beaten track. The word on the street for about 5 years (maybe more?) is that they were considering moving to a more business friendly state, but I've no heard any more on it in quite a while.

I know a lot of 'teens' that can walk 50 miles - while humping a ruck and a Basic Load.....

Not all Americans are spoiled brats. Some know how to kick ass. My son was just out of HS and less than a year later was learning how to speak hadji - on the ground in Iraq....

Since when do snowflakes need a reason other than sheepthink? The bellwether (Vikiana Petit-Homme) says "go" and so they do.

@ghrit " The word on the street for about 5 years (maybe more?) is that they were considering moving to a more business friendly state, but I've no heard any more on it in quite a while."

Probably because the local government got involved and asked them to stay but I hope they don't. I swear that if I hear they are looking that I will jump in the car and go jump on my Congressman's desk, right before I do the same to our Senators. Those are good paying and long-term jobs and are needed here in the worse way.

  16. Iowa is not considered a business friendly state but Les Baer moved out of Illinois, to LeClaire, Iowa. Our climate is much more welcoming to firearm related businesses than illinois. I'd like to see any and all of that type of company give Iowa a look at. Bad things about Iowa, winter storms, summer storms, humidity and tornadoes.

"Gun violence"? One wacko with a big truck could wipe out more of those marchers than all the shooting deaths all year.
IF they manage to decimate Smith&Wesson, it'll be like chum in the water. More of these young tofu-brained socialist tools will march on Colt, Ruger, etc. It will keep on perpetuating the stupidity. I fervently hope this thing fizzles out when those vapid teenyboppers start dropping like flies, due to heat and thirst. How manynof these fools end up clogging the local hospitals? Sheesh, what utter arrogant idiocy.
