I have done a lot of testing on thermal cameras. You can block your thermal signature using 100% polyester umbrella over head. Do not let it touch you. A big camo golf umbrella works best put some leaves on top of it. You can also use a polyester tarp over you in the woods. But there is the big answer. Polyester suit interwoven with silver or copper see photo. You can buy the copper at about $20 a yard. The silver is $100 the copper works just as good. Then you must make the garmet then soak it in water with a few drops of Liver of Sulphur. Then rinse in another water container. The longer it sits in the solution the different colors appear. This will reduce the shine of the material.

I would be interested in the cloth to line my faraday cages, a couple of big metal garbage cans that I keep electronics if you have a good vendor who has good quality cloth at a good price. Actually, I good use it for number things...

Also, why soaking the cloth in 'Liver of Sulphur?' Is it just to change the color? If so, then for my use, I wouldn't need to soak it, correct?

"Liver of sulfur is a chemical compound that's used to create an antique look on metal surfaces by darkening them. It's a mixture of potassium sulfides and can be used on a variety of metals...Liver of sulfur can produce a range of colors, including gold, copper, purple, blue, blue-grey, and black. It's most commonly used to increase contrast between light and dark areas."

Could you not line the cans in foil?

I made a Faraday Cage out of an open-top 55gal drum with lid. I sealed the inner and outer seams with metal tape and insulated it with cardboard, placed all items in Faraday Bags in the Faraday Cage, put on the lid and sealed it with metal tape.
I'm pretty sure that the foil would just conduct the EMC pulse.

Yes I saw Garand. That is helpful. He had an earlier video I guess last year where he showed the real military cover that was thermal proof but he would not discuss what it was made from or anything specific about it.

The fabric is available from EBAY. It is EMF copper fabric. It is very light weight and feels like normal polyester.

Back in 2003 we used thermal blankets the foil type ones on heated target and we could not see them. That with old military thermal optic we had on the 240G.
With today's optics I'm not sure if it would work be interesting to find out.
