Showed this to the son-in-law tonight and he's calling tomorrow. Told him to get a few and we can bury 'em for future use.
I would like to shoot one before I buy, but I do not know anyone that has one. I will have to talk to my buddy/dealer and have him order at least one. Being as how it is already used, a trip to the range should not be out of order. If it shoots well, I wouldn't mind having three or four of them.
Sig is a good brand, when I worked in L.E. we made the switch from wheel guns to Sig's everyone loved them, reliable, easy to take care of. "Monkey Militia" I like that one
Know next to nothing about sigs but aren't the 225s the compact version? If so does anyone with larger hands have issues with them? I've got a Glock 22 and have shot my wife's 23 and didn't like how my hand fit the shorter grip. What is the grip like on the 225, our range here doesn't have any 225s in stock to try out.
I have not shot one, but I almost bought a P225 many years ago. It is a single stack with about the same grip length as the P228/P229, but thinner. I thought it was a very sweet pistol. I have large hands and my little finger would hang blow the grip. But it was very comfortable. I always thought the P225 was one of the top compact pistols. at this proice I am really tempted even though I have higher priority purchases planned. hmmmmm...
Sweet deal! I dont see how could go to wrong at the price since I dont think I had seen any of the used Sigs that cheap at the shops, so if didnt like it SHOULD be able to trade out of it or sell it for at least what you had in it I would imagine.
I'd like to hold one before buying but for that price it's tempting to just buy one. I've been extremely happy with my 220, 226 and 229 and wouldn't mind another Sig. Good thing work is slow or one of these would already be on order
