    It's going to wind up being human error.
    sailing under auto-pilot towards an anchorage where lots of ships are hanging out.
    Probably no one on the bridge of sailing vessel.
    Would have sucked to be on the anchored tanker knowing that they were going to get hit and not have time to get out of the way

    One comment on the ships was made about the decks and such on the container ship

    It is standard operating procedure for the ship's Bridge to be manned by only ONE person. That person also has the responsibility of setting the course on automatic and then LEAVING THE BRIDGE to conduct an inspection of the cargo, in this case making sure that the chains holding the containers are still tight. This person usually also takes soundings of the cargo holds to check for possible flooding. This process leaves the NOBODY ON THE BRIDGE to avoid a collision.

    I think that there is supposed to be a look out as well, but with a crew of 14, who knows.
