U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, a Tea Party-turned MAGA Republican, used his personal account to call for less concentrated power in the federal government. “This would happen a lot less if we didn’t make the federal government and the presidency so ridiculously powerful,” he wrote, sharing a video of the chaos that had unfolded at the rally. “Let’s push power back to where it belongs” He added “We need government control, not gun control. Otherwise, tribalism advances at the national level” In a later post, Lee — a habitual poster of baseless, bombastic claims — said all federal charges against Trump, a convicted felon, should be dropped as a way “take the political temperature down.” Sen. Mike Lee: What We Need Is Government Control
if you believe this - you better be a MAGA supporter - sure as shit not a liberal dumbazz DNCer >>>> same same for the other tangent conservative parties - you're not making any progress and only assisting the Globalist Elites in their domination .... join together to Save America - once that mission is accomplished - you can go back to your 1776 Constitution ideals or 1880s Jeremiah Johnson beliefs
“We need government control,..." Do we? These four words terrify me as the federal government has shown just how much control they now have, to the point of tyranny. Yes, tyranny. He is right, the federal government is way too powerful, so much so, that I now ask if we really do need them. Perhaps better said, is do we really want them? Hell, is it worth the risk? Sounds a bit nutty saying this, but do we? 800+ agencies with life-long bureaucrats that effect our lives much more than our elective officials. Executive orders that insanely open our borders wide... On and on and on...the list is endless. Our government has shown that it cannot be trusted, and we are fools to think it can or will be fixed. Term limits, tax reform, balance budget, immigration reform, smaller government...You honestly believe they will give up power? Never. The United States government is the American people greatest enemy. Not China, not Russia, not Iran, our own government. They will continue to add to their power, year by year, day by day. Example? 83,000 new IRS employees hired overnight... What company or even other government in the world would do that, could justify that? Yet, our government did it and no, it did not go away...even though it is insane. At this point saying “We need government control,..." is the same as saying we need a bit of cancer because that is exactly what the Federal government has turned into, something that is slowly killing us and we're simply too damn dumb to recognize it.
What he was saying is that the Federal Government needs to BE controlled, not that the Federal Government needs to be IN control!
the government NEEDS to be controlled is what the article is ABOUT!!! sounds like someone may NOT have read the article and posted???
Nope. I read it in detail, and I quote, “We need government control, not gun control. Otherwise, tribalism advances at the national level” and taken as written it means exactly how I interrupted it. You said, "the government NEEDS to be controlled" which is what he should have said to be clear but that is not what he said, "We need government control..." so don't get pissed at me if some politician can't speak or write. Furthermore, if I comment on something you can be damn sure I read it for if I didn't, I will say so. Anyway, I did read it, and I got the gist he was making however his statement was unclear as to how it could be interpreted and whenever a politician's statement isn't perfectly clear I will translate it 100% literal, exactly as written or spoken. Yes, I hold them to a higher standard and for good reason, the bastards a year or two down the road reverse themselves or change their position referencing their unclear remarks.
Sorry, but that is not what he said - maybe it is what he meant - but not what he said and I interpreted as it was written/stated.
when did I post those remarks??? please advise and point me to exact the location??? It may have been within the article I posted but I find it hard to believe I actually said that??? ahh I see... please... I DID NOT SAY THAT THE ARTICLE SAID THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
