I’m not talking about the weather,I’m talking about the virus, the election and the crazy people that will act up. I think the virus will be a killer, the election makes no difference who wins and the crazy people are going to be killed by the hundreds. What are your thoughts? I think it’s best to fill in were you are short and the next two months prep like the world was going to end tomorrow. Am I the crazy one? Will food be hard to get? What would happen if there were no electricity?

BAD I have concluded the dems ran Biden intentionally to lose, simply to intensify the rioting and destabilizing. Covid +Flu could be really bad if not health in further Government over reach and power grabs. I am taking my own advice and doubling the normal winter stock pile.

It is my thoughts that the clock has not started ticking yet. But to answer your question, Yes..

Given the late spring, fires and weather challenges some have had in the warmer areas of the country, it could be the norther states turn to face the weather demon.

The social foolishness may have to take a chill come snow time, however I would look forewords to them being active well into the fall. I do not believe anyone will do anything to show these miss behaving children the error of their ways. Then again could they step it up with more terrorist like activities post election time? A very real chance for that. Think energetic's. Watch for attacks on infrastructure, as in attacks on regional electrical grids especially after the freeze hits.

Food is well on it's way to shortages. And is costing much more than pre-plandemic. Establishing alternative resourcing will go a long way to fill the food lockers.t

Remain mindful of what the "THEY" have as a goal for all the chaos in our cities and towns right now and that is Globalism, marxism, socialism, communism, it is all the same in the eyes of those that are leading this "Revolution".
We may not be able to stop it. If one is desirous of ducking their head in the hopes of not being taken out, good luck with that. If you think we will just round up the traitors and hang them. Well, the other side has the same in mind for any that values the constitution. And guv is shot clean through with those that will work for the down fall.

YES, I see it is going to be a long, troubled, winter.

I think many folks on the left will lose it. I'm more concerned about an economic reset/collapse.

    Upgrading every prep we have.
Going more gray with a new trick or two.
I wish I had the change $$$ for the 5-7 rifle mainly due to the 50 round magazine and light weight.
Still more important to have a balanced approach.

There's the AR 57 LEM. It takes the 50 round P90 mag, ejects through the mag well and is $1,000. So cheaper than a PS90 and you get the 50 round mag.

Stocking up on things that have short shelf life, 2 years or less. Long term ok,but oils, fats, dried milk, some canned goods, trying to keep stocked, 4 dozen eggs and rotate it, 10 lbs butter, 10 lbs cheese, etc. Stuff I usually eat but 3 months worth instead of 1 week and some would require some prep to store if things went bad. Worry more about supply chain problems and economy than riot as our area is fairly safe. Many countries have over the years proved that money only has value if someone will take it for a useful good. I think a debit , EBT, or credit card will be even less secure. Solar, wood, hand pumped water, all look like good ideas at the moment as well as having ever thing I need for next years gardening and canning in stock.

Throwing out a big food order about the 25th. My mind tells me I need to put away so much more.

The thing I don't like is the recent fly overs of a dummie's 1000$ drone.

That's the good thing about newmexico. People are too po to be able to afford a $1,000 drone.

The new low light camera drones, government or private add a whole new dimension to security. A high altitude camera plane costs big bucks and takes a lot of tech, a helio is very noisy and you can hear it coming, but I have flown cheap hobby drones that at a few hundred feet were almost silent and could carry the new raspberry pi night cameras that furnish unbelievable detail and the more expensive ir ones even more so. Can fly over a couple times a night when the moon is out and count the cabbages growing in the garden and know when they will be ripe and you would never know. Whole new world of OPSEC and much of the spy tech available is made for a hobby type thing and can be done for a thousand or so. The US Army has long owned the night, but now it available to any one with a few hundred dollars and an interest in playing with things. Cheap game camera with good storage chip, low light capability, motion detector and a transmitter is tech that no one in the world had in WW2. Could be a real effective sentry system and at a fraction of the cost of a commercial security system.

At least I found out how good his camera was for as soon as I gave the High Sign he turned tail.
Problem is I recently had a theft after a flyover several days before.
Maybe drone related, maybe not. Still SO will get a report tomorrow.

HK User, friend had kids running around on back land, didn't care but they were destructive just for the heck of it. He used game camera with motion detector and transmitter and modified a radio to trigger a solenoid to sound a hand held boat emergency horn. Kind of got their attention.

I picked up motion sensors, but with our topography I'm unsure where to set the sensors.

Game trails and possible location of items to be stolen.
As in your area snakes are always a factor so a clear trail for cattle is always a good set up spot.

I suspect it is only going to get worse after election day, no matter who wins the election.
If Trump wins.... we will hear howling from coast to coast and the destruction will continue by the tool's in the street.
If Biden wins, all gloves will be off, cause the troublemakers will have nobody willing to reign them in.

We have been here a year now and the farmstead is coming together.
I am in the process of doing a lot of fencing.... cows coming onboard in two weeks.
The garden is ready to be planted in the spring and I will be building a green house this winter.
A chicken coop and a goat house are moving forward as well.

In between now and the spring, our food supplies are being added to, ensuring we don't go hungry if things crash.
I have been stocking ammo and such for years and only using training ammo when needed..... we are good.

Still need to get back-up power sorted for the well.... that would be considered a weakness at this time, if we loose power for extended periods. A rain catchment system is going in to supplement the well here in the fall.

We are out in the woods, but crazy is always just down the road!!
