There are a few manufacturers who are jumping on the wagon to get a piece of the market on these, and it's because people keep buying them believing they are getting more security. These locks offer the ability to change the key out and re-key right there at home, just go buy another set of keys and use the re-keying tool and you have a new lock, right? Sure. But, did you know... This technique works on even the most current "smart key" locks. Please, do not buy into the marketing hype --remove these locks from your doors! How to solve this problem: STEP 1: Carefully remove the smart key lock. Don't break it. STEP 2: Place the lock into its original packaging and return it to the store for a refund. thank you both @Brokor and @kellory ..... good to know about both these locks. additionally dead bolts with single sided key entry outside and twist lock/unlock inside are pretty useless on doors with glass where you can reach the deadbolt if you break the glass. Place a key for these locks somewhere close to door but out of sight thru glass, but where you can get it to get out of house in an emergency like a fire.
Correct. Only double keyed cylinders near any type of opening like a window. ( and do not leave the key in the lock)
