According to several news services, a fairly extensive stash of porn was discovered in the huge cache of computer files that was taken from his compound in Abbottabad. The porn is made up of modern video that was electronically recorded. This discovery is sure to undermine bin Laden’s credibility with jihadists and terrorists around the world since their brand of Islamic radicalism does not allow such Western profligacy...right? A lot of the basis of the anti-American hatred of Islamofascists like bin Laden is rooted in the apparently lax sexual mores of Western society, primarily America’s. In bin Laden’s 2002 letter to Americans, he condemned US culture as a whole for its exploitation of women’s bodies in everything from advertising to pop culture and dress. However, with this Reuters expose, based on information provided by US officials, bin Laden looks a thousand times more degraded in his own sexual mores than what he accused Americans of. This shameless hypocrisy may even have the effect of dissuading some future jihadists (okay, probably not) from joining the anti-American cause, since now the “lax sexual mores” reason for jihad is pretty much unusable. Furthermore, bin Laden’s porn-watching “jihad” also sheds some light into the psychology of these Islamofascists who always act holier-than-thou in their denouncement of the US. Bin Laden is not the first (nor will he be the last) jihadist who has a hypocrisy problem in the area of sexual lust. Other notorious examples of corrupt Muslim extremists have included the Fort Hood terrorist, who spent eight hours at a strip club before killing all those soldiers, and the 9/11 terrorists who spent their time buying lap dances at strip clubs before hijacking the airplanes. It must have gotten pretty lonely and desperate for bin Laden in his compound, what with only three wives and the knowledge that the US was hunting him down like an animal 24/7...lol. I am sure the next wave of extremist nut jobs won't let this discovery of their poster boy slow them down any! I however find it very funny and very interesting. Maybe ole Osama had a little streak of the "great satan" in him too...and I thought it was just Americans!
You are making a very LARGE Assumption, here.... Sorry Broker, if I beat you to it.... You are assuming that there actually WAS a lot of Porn found at his compound. Were you there, or are you repeating, what the "Talking Heads" are repeating that our Government has "Spoon Feed" them. Consider the possibility that our Government is Lying about this issue. What do they gain? They gain what you just stated, "The moral High Ground" by showing he was a Hypocrite. They gain, some PR value on the World Stage, with those folks that believe them. What do they lose? They lose nothing, as long as they do NOT have to PROVE their claims, which they never will. It is seen by THEM as a Win-Win.... OK, Now I am not saying that this is NOT A FACT, and that did happen, but I am skeptical, of many of these type "Claims" that can't be independently verified as FACT. So, If one of the SEALS, who actually found the stuff, Told "Me" exactly what he found, and I was to believe him, and take his Personal Integrity, at face value, then Yea, Fact... but just because some Government Talking Head says it is true doesn't make it so..... I'm not surprised, but the ones that need to realize who he was will never believe it. I have found more than a few GBs of porn ripped from hadji's cell phone or confiscated computer. Not uncommon at all. The religious superiority is in their own self image, not in their acts. Of course we are talking about people that target women, children, and even members of their own faith as if the porn means something next to the other things they do.
