Oregon Authoritarianism - Governor Soon to Have Authority to Sieze Property at Will

In Oregon "considering a bill" that gives the Governor additional unchecked power = done deal. This what happens when you have single party rule.

You may think this is appropriate during a time of "emergencies", but Oregon's Governazi has now extended a six week "emergency" to now last longer than a year. There will never not be an "emergency" in Oregon until the citizens get fed up enough to take back control.

Oregon Considering Bill for Emergency Seizure of Private Property - The RFAngle

"The Oregon state legislature is currently considering a bill which would allow for the Governor to seize, use, or possess any private property during a state of emergency.

HB-2238 is supposedly meant to clarify the “Governor’s authority to use property during an emergency.” There are already provisions in place to allow for limited use of private property by the state government, but this bill seeks to drastically expand these. As proposed in HB-2238,

“Whenever the Governor has declared a state of emergency, the Governor may issue, amend and enforce rules and orders to:
1) Control, restrict and regulate by rationing, freezing, use of quotas, prohibitions on shipments, price fixing, allocation or other means, the use, sale or distribution of food, feed, fuel, clothing and other commodities, materials, goods and services;
2) Prescribe and direct activities in connection with use, conservation, salvage and prevention of waste of materials, services and facilities, including, but not limited to, production, transportation, power and communication facilities training, and supply of labor, utilization of industrial plants, health and medical care, nutrition, housing, rehabilitation, education, welfare, child care, recreation, consumer protection and other essential civil needs; and
3) Take any other action, including through the seizure, use or possession of any real or personal property…”

The Oregon governor would be allowed to take part in “rationing, freezing, use of quotas, prohibition on shipments, price fixing, allocation…” She would also be allowed to “Prescribe and direct activities in connection with… supply of labor, utilization of industrial plants, health and medical care, nutrition, housing, rehabilitation, education, welfare, child care, recreation, consumer protection and other essential civil needs.” When it comes down to it, this bill would allow the Governor broad discretion in what to seize, when to seize it, and how to use it.

Governor Brown has continually declared a State of Emergency in order to justify her use of executive orders. In fact, she recently extended the State of Emergency again, through March of 2021. Governor Brown has also allegedly used mob-like strongarm tactics on businesses that don’t comply with her orders. Given this history, one finds it entirely possible for her to declare a state of emergency in order to take control of any private property she wishes. Potential targets could include hospitals, housing, non-compliant businesses, and perhaps even privately-owned firearms.

The very thought that the government could unilaterally seize one’s property ought terrify every American. The United States of America was founded upon the protection of life, liberty, and property. Whenever a government becomes hostile to these ends, it is no longer a legitimate government, but a despotism."

 

Oregon's main news outlets as expected have "plenty" to say about this atrocity to the civil rights of Oregonians.


The only hit on KGW reference a bill by that name in Illinois. The Oregonian had references to bills by that reference number used in previous years. No reference to the current legislation.

 

I would burn my own crap to the ground before I would turn it in. It is legal to destroy your own stuff as long as it is all paid for and you don’t claim its destruction to your insurance. You might need a burning permit too.

I have started to view this a different light mainly to try and keep from getting so damn depressed...so the more they push forward like this, which is an obvious mistake, the sooner the people will push back. This is a good thing, a mistake on their part but it wakes us all up.

But, the bad point is the Socialist-Fascists will do what has proven so effective in the past. They will cease pushing and wait until the people go back to sleep, all the while continuing their propaganda campaign. Then with the people back to sleep, they start pushing again...repeat as necessary.

So, the question is, have they pushed so hard, too hard that the people will not stop pushing back until they have pushed them out of town/city/state?

 

So does the part that says: "supply of labor" mean forced labor?

 

In very simple plain English. it says they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and to whoever the want. It's utterly un-Constitutional, but that won't slow them down much.

 

The Constitution is only a piece of paper- without the people, the politicians, the courts and lastly the military to insure it is followed it's just a piece of paper. God I hope I am wrong --I fear it is quickly just becoming a piece of paper.

 

They'll keep pushing the residents until they have another spree killing like they had in Colebrook New Hampshire in 1997. History shows over and over that people can only be pushed so far before they push back.

This has so many implications far beyond what it actually says! Just think about this a min, Gov'ness Brownstain can use this now to come for the guns, she can take your car or truck, your home, anything she wants, and you have no say or defense! Given that OryGun has maintained it's illegal gun registry thanks to the corrupt state politzi, she now has the the law on her side to do anything she wants with no one to stop her! You already pay property tax, something that they change all the time to bring in more money, based on the assessed value, so you no longer even own your land and home, ( see what happens if you refuse to pay their illegal tax) and now, Gov'ness Brownstain can simply kick you out of your home/off your land for any reason she see's fit! THink of all the Business owners who have defied her command to shut down and remain closed, instead of issuing illegal fines, she can just seize said business under whatever made up reason she wishes, and those people are royally screwed!

 

Something else just hit me, I bet I know the real reason for this treason, Gov'ness Brown stain has had her eyes on some very choice property owned and managed by the Port of Portland, and if she can seize that property, she can then dictate what and how it gets used! I'm refering to the area along the bottom stretch of the Willamette river to it's confluence with the Columbia River, from Swan Island all the way to Terminal 4 Hadden Meddows/Delta Park! Think about this, the number one reason they have not been able to develope that land is the enviro nazis have a strangle hold on land use in that stretch, and is the Gov'ness can usurp all that, she gets to command all that comes after, even after she leaves office!

 

It will be weaponized against political enemies. Look for all Republicans in the Oregon State Legislature to be targeted to coerce them to vote the left way or to ensure they show up for quorum when the Dems strong arm legislation through.
