It rained. So - I took this painter's tarp and made a kind of pup tent. Attachment points are small rocks tied into the tarp - these used to make a place to hook up a tie down or attachment. So - String a ridge-line. Place tarp over the line. Measure back from (maybe a third so so) the edge and make an attachment, Tie off to support.. Repeat at other end. Secure sides, and at bottom of the 'doors'. Just remember, this kind of plastic is very flammable. You may also drown from condensation. But it will keep you out of the rain. This is perfect to set up as a practice shelter for you and the kiddos. Sometimes - a picture really is worth a thousand words. Have fun!
OK, I copied the design,. here's the diagram. still, a lot of fun to be had with a sheet of plastic, some 550 cord and a few smooth rocks.
Excellent, but best point in whole display to me was the "little known fact by most sheeple", that placing a small smooth rock in plastic, cloth, tarp, and tying around it creates instant grommets that do not weaken the covering, that and the "truckers hitch" to tighten the guy lines allow you to use and reuse a tarp for so many things. Thank you for the well done instructions. In addition, it ties in well with your mills article, kind of a do it yourself version of the old boy scouts manual.
