Looks like if the Commies dropped their BIGGEST 100MT Bomb on Juneau, we would be just outside the Danger Zone.... Good to know... And that was even an Air Burst.... the Three mountain Ranges in between, makes all the difference....
Used to play with Nuke Map Dropping big bombs in all of the lucrative targets leaves a nice strip outside of fall out zones in Southern IL that I am in the middle of. However there are too many variables that Nuke Map can't calculate that would come into play.
Been a while since I used that, thanks for posting. With the rise of N. Korea and uncle Putin nuke preps are higher on the list for me.
I used the Chinese nuke weapons available for fallout projections.... my bet on who is most likely to strike us currently....other than the NK fat boy who might be able to strike the West coast......
But it does provide lots of "food for thought" in regards to what you are prepping for that contingency.

Quite interesting. I thought things would be worse but due to the landscape and wind currents, my survival rate went up more then I had assumed.
According to that, there would have to be a good sized one way off target even to hit us with appreciable fallout.

By then all the real nasties will have dropped out and what is left will be short term and already mostly decayed
