My go to flashlights are eating CR123 batteries and it's getting expensive. Their performance times have shortened as well. So I'd like to find a reasonably sized, rechargeable but able to take regular batteries if possible. Same thing for a spotlight if possible and a really bright mother. Thanks Gents.
Hands down for me after much searching was a Lux-Pro XP-915. I had been a die hard Streamlight fan and still have the AAA models laying around but the pack, each car, and each door of the house has a Lux-Pro. They have been used in the rain and dropped in puddles and generally abused in various fashions and all still work. I bought the first on the advice of a fellow engineer, and have become a fan. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XSC15Q3/?tag=survivalmonke-20
I have been a fan of the Fenix LD22 and the LD12. They use AAs and we tend to use rechargeable AA in the bigger LD22s but in my EDC LD12 I mostly use an alkaline AA.
Here's one flashlight I have.i bought it March 2021.in which I don't have any issues with it.the on/off bottom is on the side instead of the back end,in which is what I Camping & Hiking Flashlights for sale | eBay
Believer it or not, Harbor Freight "Quantum" brand Flashlights are BOMB PROOF reliable and don't eat batteries! I have been carrying a few for around 4 years now, they are dead reliable, bright, and water proof! They do use Cree LEDs and can use Lithium or Rechargable batteries super easy! I'm not spending big bucks on lights anymore, every single high end name brand has failed, EVERY SINGLE ONE, so I don't buy them anymore, especially when the warranty sucks! No more CR-123s to stock ether!
I want a flashlight that IS NOT round. Every time I sit the damn thing down it rolls away. My old Surefire was hexagon plus it had its on/off switch in the butt of the light.
Ehh? okay I'll try a few. Now how's about head lamps, I have a browning w/rechargeable battery and all

Is Olight worth the money? I have one of their pistol lights and it's pretty darn good but what about their other flashlights?
Except for a nit cap during the winter,I don't wear a cap or hat.so this one does me good. The light can be adjusted to correct level for the distance I want it to shine out to. 5X T6 LED Headlamp Rechargeable Head Light Flashlight Torch Lamp USA | eBay
At some point you may need a weapon and light. For handheld lights, we stay away from lights with the stupid Strobe.....on-off and high-low power. Only end cap switch, light in one hand on-off with thumb and handgun in the other hand. If you get a very high output light you can get a ton of splash back, illuminating you 400-600 hundred lumens seems about right. The way we train along with weapon mounted lights. FBI Harries
Thanks GG, but it's a bit weak (300 lumens) considering where LED lumens are now and...Wait. Oh, it has a 1000 lumen setting also, and it's rechargeable, not bad at all! Thanks!
