Many of arrests come after deputies find methamphetamine on the suspect. RELATED: Henderson Co. "They opened their arms and we told them what the investigation that we were looking at and believe we had enough to tie in a search wall for residence over there," Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said. According to the HCSO, at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, a Henderson County narcotics team and Tyler police raided an apartment at Eastwood Apartments, seizing a half-pound of meth worth about $20,000. Officers also seized heroin, cocaine, crack, drug paraphernalia and a gun. Teresa Michelle Steppe, 53, was arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery. So far this month, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office has helped make multiple drug busts that removed $55,000 of meth from the streets. While police say they are happy that the drugs and weapon were seized, Kevin Moree, the CEO of Life After Meth Ministries, says he is concerned about the frequency of arrests in East Texas. "It's becoming more and more rampant," Moree said. "More and more available and those who are involved in that industry have become a lot more bolder." Treatment for meth addiction is not the same as other drugs. Unlike opioids, who use methadone to ease of their addiction, there is no FDA approved method to get off the drug. "We just have to keep fighting, do everything we can to keep it off the street," said Hillhouse. Yep, and addiction is a disease, grass is good, don't treat those who sell the drugs that kill someone as at least man slaughter, since 2000, about a trillion dollars spent as a result of drugs and 400,000 deaths. Maybe addiction treatment shouldn't be a major industry, drug dealers shouldn't control some areas, and all the bleeding hearts that talk about the non violent crimes and rehab the poor addict aren't correct. All I know is the poor sheriff is doing his best to keep his finger in the dam, and every year it gets worse and now all the attention of the states is where they can get some more money to spend by going to court and getting money from the legal drug companies. That will either put them out of business or the costs will be passed thru to those buying other legal drugs.
Meth was invented in Nazi Germany and fueled their troops in combat. So the Nazis still contribute to the erosion of our society, and the war in the shadows continues...
They look pretty methed out. If a cop pulls some one over that looks like that, they are going to get searched. Probable cause? An obvious life time of ongoing hard drug use.
