Front back with ant partly extended. hand wired guts close up. These can be worked on, but... The FM and VHF (I can hear the WX broadcasts) - AM and SW is dead - I need to replace a transistor. Since these are in sockets, it's easy, once you pull the back off. AC/DC (9xD cells) Sounds great. I have an older H-600 series that plays, but since it is a tube radio, I wanted a transistor version. I've wanted a Royal 7000 since 1968 - and now I have one!

Sold for as much as a 'status symbol' as a good shortwave set. My Sangean 909 blows it away on performance, coverage, sensitivity and selectivity.. For sound quality, hard to beat that massive speaker... Sounds so nice sitting on the shelf behind my workstation here at home. Classic music (Vivaldi, not the Stones) is a joy to listen to...
