I was at my Grandmother's place (she is 96) and was checking out one of the old barns, when I found a couple of weather beaten cardboard boxes tucked into a corner of the rafters. I recognized my handwriting them. They were from my first apartment which I only lived in for about three months, before I rejoined the Army. The one marked "Kitchen" held: one WW 2 US Army mess kit complete, one set of US Army mess hall salt and pepper shakers, one Mauser style bayonet, one Coleman propane single burner stove, two 1980's canteen cups, one canteen cups worth of mouse chewed Taco Bell sauce packets, a 1970's style blender, and three plastic ice trays. The other one was marked bathroom and held the mouse chewed remains of three Army brown towels, two Army brown wash cloths, a couple of rusty Bic disposable razors, and the dried remains of a few mice (must have eaten the Taco Bell hot sauce).
