Hello to everyone, new here but been in the mindset/"lifestyle" all my life. I have far too many hobbies and interests, big ones are shooting, backpacking, gardening, electronics, Ham radio, and woodworking. I just enjoy making things, especially from recycled/used/unwanted materials. I also have a background in communications and emergency medicine. Thanks to everyone who contributes here, looking forward to learning new things.
Welcome to our Monkey Tree.... Pick yourself out a branch, and have a look around.... Lots of great Info, here-bouts.... You might find the Comms Forum interesting..... We have a good group of Hams....
Thanks for the welcome! Been looking around in Comms already, a Ham member here mentioned the site, was here a long time ago looking around but never had an account before. Used to make videos and did a live webcast 3 nights a week for a while, really enjoyed it. Thanks again.
Hi @SneakyPete welcome to Survival Monkey. Great set of hobbies and interests. Look forward to reading your posts.
Thanks! I'd use either straight walnut oil or mix it with beeswax. Unless you're allergic to tree nuts, then I'd use mineral oil.
Second the mineral oil (food grade!). It is what I use on my wood cutting boards to keep them from drying out and cracking. Also on my wood spoons.
