Reading the news of the Pacific NW storms, you have all been on my mind. Just wanted to let you all know that you are not forgotten.
Thank you, RH! Two days ago: Warm, almost too warm for the season. Then winds like you wouldn't believe (114mph on the range where we've hunted - yikes!). Trees down everywhere. People (over 250,000 during the storm) lost power and some are still without power with the expectation that it won't be restored until Monday in some places. Major rainstorm caused flooding which means there are landslides to watch out for. Train lines were stopped for unpassable tracks and they suggest you call ahead to the airlines to check on your flights. Last night comes the cold front - ice everywhere. Headlines should read "Preparedness Skills Tested in Northwest Homes" Subheading: "Survival Monkeys Warm and Dry"
Thanks for asking. All well here - winds hit a top gust of 80 mph in Salem area. Power stayed on. Just cleaning up roof and yard this weekend. Lots of small limbs down. Regards, Prepareordie
