Where I am in eastern new Mexico for the first time since I lived here the gas stations are running out. Is this happening any where else?
Might be the previous tank profit is shy so they are stringing out refueling, a matter of being a cheapskate. I hope it's no more than that.
Just came thru eastern and northern NM both directions in the last week, and had NO Issue finding Fuel in any town near the Interstates...paid $2.59US/USG in Albaquirkie this morning.... Yea, it was $2.29US/USG in Austin, Tx on last Friday, and $2.39US/USG on MOnday when we left for Seattle... But everyone had Gas to sell, we just looked for the best price, and went there... Don't remember what it was out at ShipRock this afternoon, where we topped off the tank, before going out to Four Corners, and stood in Four States ALL AT THE SAME TIME.... That was fun, and I got a Picture to prove it...
No issues in Tuson, just topped up the SRT @$2.48 a gallon, prices have been climbing steady, but fuel is not in short supply any where I have seen. Was $2.13 a month ago
The smart phone app GasBuddy (or website gasbuddy.com) is great for finding the cheapest fuel around. I use it a couple times per week. Tracker.gasbuddy.com will display if stations have fuel or not or if they are out of power and can’t pump. The data will even overlay on google maps if you want to view it that way. Superb app. GasBuddy is a mandatory survival as well as an everyday life app if you ask me. AT
The Lubbock news is saying there is a pipe line problem. I filled up the vehicles, all but one of the gas cans are full and generators had been full.
I went to two stations last night that were out. That's one reason why I drive on the top half of my tank.
When I visited the US back in late 2014, I used the following 3 sites: Fuelcaster - The Gas Price Predictor GasBuddy: For the Perfect Pit Stop Gas Predictor! What will gasoline cost tomorrow? GasPredictor.com has the answer every business day!
