most of us have a lot of these on hand for weapon and tactical lights as well as headlamps and others. Go green and recycle/reuse during SHTF to keep those shotguns well fed:

Seriously, this is one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. No doubt the drop will be a bitch, but...so will the impact.
It seems CR123s are about 1/2" in diameter and 12 ga is about 3/4". Those little sabots they showed didn't look right to me. I haven't put a mic on any of it. Just an observation.
I wonder if Lithium batteries would explode when fired, or better yet, on impact! That could be useful info to have! Asking for a Friend!
I watched a video on YT of someone using a stack of pennies and they made them concave and the test fire showed them staying together and doing massive harm to jell and human-shaped dummies.
I grew up with a kid who's brother was killed at a red-light with a shotgun blast of dimes. It was during an Anglo/Czech war in Texas during the 1960s. The event shocked both sides enough for the elders to quit instigating the young and start moderating them. At least in Ennis and West.
