This is a spray that's used on horses, dogs and some times people. It really comes out purple. When I hog hunted with dogs I used it all the time. I used it on Scout's bad cuts this week.
My granny's goto for cuts and bruises was a mule liniment called Balsam of Meyers. She applied it to cuts with the tip of a chicken feather to clean a wound and a cut treated with it never got infected and would heal quickly. It stung like the devil. I do not believe it is available any more.
We used to use that on our goats, primarily after dehorning them. Most definitely purple...and stains anything it contacts!
sulfur dust, purple medicine {gentian violate } peroxide liniment and essential oils for most animal care. tetracycline and cipro for eye ear problems and a good wormer like wyzineif my memory serves. spray makes some animals crazy so I use a dob on version.
