My friend grew up in this same area and knew Marlon. Although he wasn’t a witness he said this was no hoax. Way too many credible witnesses. What do you think about this tale? Have you seen anything without a logical explanation? The Mythic Child-Stealing Thunderbirds of Illinois Edited the link. Hope this is ok.
A 4.5 foot bird? I cannot even imagine that. I thought that maybe the dog was scared of the bird but then a 4.5 foot bird? That just seems unbelievable
A. "Prehistoric or mythic creatures" have been found several times over the last couple centuries. B. With all the chemicals and pollution in the wilderness, mutant giantism is a real possibility. All myths have their basis in fact.
This story sounds like BS. And I'm pretty sure the average 10 year old boy weighs more than 56 pounds as the article states.
Mite be true golden eagles are bad news also there's a a eagle in the jungle that kills and eats monkeys a small kid would fit into that category.
I can believe it exists. Mother Earth throws out some doosies from time to time. A recessive Gene in modern eagles may occasionally crop up. An exotic bird owner might have lost something from God knows where.
The story in the OP sounds like a couple of huge buzzards. Maybe animal carcasses have been scarce, and the mutant birds are really hungry. This can cause normally shy predators to hunt larger than normal prey. We won't know til somebody downs one and we see the corpse.
My insider says the boy was teased unmercifully all throughout his childhood. Many bar fights as he got older due to bird noises directed his way. Seems to me like a peculiar thing to hoax. The whole neighborhood would have to be in on it. Strange strange tale.
IDK, I have seen an American Bald Eagle that stood over 3 feet tall and had he still had both wings, would have had a span of close to 8 feet! Don't know if said eagle is still alive, but he had company of other eagles that were almost as big. This was at the Clackamas Raptor Sanctuary in Oregon City at the Community collage campus! Edit: They have moved to Eugene and expanded operations and have larger space for more birds of prey!
Hawk native to South America wows crowd in Maine park Maybe a Golden Eagle from South America was the attacking bird years ago. Maybe nah.
