Heads up for those that use that particular flavor of 5.56mm as a SHTF round: NRA-ILA | BATFE To Ban Common AR-15 Ammo On page 14 of the ATF doc http://www.atf.gov/sites/default/fi..._primarily_intended_for_sporting_purposes.pdf
Wow, that didn't take long- checked a couple of my go-to search engines and 855 has jumped. I haven't been checking lately, but 193 can be had for .30/ round, the cheapest I found 855 is .42/round.
Was 48.00 yesterday morning, Price has jumped, Get a couple boxes, Could be great trade value in the near future or learn to reload, It ain't that hard.
I maintain, that the only industry obummer has caused to grow, is the weapons industry. Every times he bans, restricts, infringes, he spurs more buying and price hikes. The gun builders should hire him to improve sales....
Yet another 'ruling' from the king and his minions. On thing I did notice this morning it. OMG peeps are gobbling it up. Just think when they outright ban all guns and ammo. The government won't have to purchase another round. They'll just confiscate it from the people that bought it for them.
Went by my go to general store and pawn shop yesterday. Their gun rack is full of what use to be impossibles. AR CARs, SKS with true AK47 mag and others. Sheeple are short sighted and finicky self victims. So I picked up some tooling leather and might pick up that SKS to replace my drowned AK.
Go for it!! I did much the same a couple months after y2k. SCORED big time. Picked up many useful "new" items for a fraction of what they cost the original owner. Got a basically new 8kw genset with a honda engine for 400 dollars. The on/off toggle switch got broke when it was moved and no one there knew how to make it run.. Also picked up a couple of like new Sigs during that time. I always urge folks to try and hunt for these type of deals. Even if you don't need/want an item, most likely you can turn it quickly for profit by trades/barter or outright reselling. If you can afford to, it OFTEN pays to sit on items while they go up in value. I mentioned this in another thread, but I remember buying FN/FAL factory mags NiB by the 100 count back in the early 90's for 3 bux a pop-they go for what,15-20 a pop now?
Say it isn't so! Shucks even corrosive ammo is good when you need it. Or was that a boating accident?
Well, if the M855 steel core plinker gets their tighty whities in a bunch, I wonder what they would think of .308 armor piercing incendiary... Oh yeah, they probably "banned" that, too. Look at my face...obviously, this is a face that does not care. Governments will ALWAYS protect themselves from US -and they have damn good reason these days.
