So being held down , or suffocated, or tripped , or pushed , are all imaginary ? And the Name of Jesus has nothing to do with the removal of these attacks ? I beg to differ . I know my God , and the power of His intervention and provision for my life and healing not only my self but others that I have been directed to . I do not manipulate God, I cooperate with Him , and that is as it should be .
If you looked at your "demon" and said, "JESUS!" and it disappeared, I can assure you it had more to do with your convictions than it had to do with a make believe Jewish zombie who rose from the dead. But, I'm only razzing you, in poor humor naturally. You can believe in Jesus all you wish, I'm not here to change that. I know how defensive religious people can be.

I have seen the absolute pure evil of men, I have seen the works of Ol Scratch his self through the deeds of men, and it gives me comfort to know that my soul is saved through Christ, that in him my soul is armored against all evils of this earth!
Well said, and I'll testify to that as well. I have been in the presence of Evil with only the Power and Grace of God's Love to protect me.
As you can see our faith is not in religion but in the person of God and believing His Son Jesus .not for what is written but for what He does in our lives and the interaction with God.
All the Preachers and Priests that have ever lived, can not absolve one from deniging what God reviels to each of his children, as individuals... Once revelation has been received, it is forever, and a person is then responcible only to God, for that knowledge.... Revelation is something that when received, is Personal, and usually specific, Anyone who tells you they have received revelations from God, for you, is to be avoided, as a Fraud... Those that receive, will not tell, and those that tell, haven’t received.... Basic Truths...
No one taught my dad to do this but ,if he hurt himself ,in stead of uttering some curse as most men do ,he would say "Praise the Lord". I am not sure what his motivation was being a relatively new Christian ,but to him it made sense to be a contrast to the rest of the world that could only curse God when things went wrong for them. This witness of reverencing God, though not intended to be manipulative however ,miracles occurred . Hit your thumb with a framing hammer and see if that does not leave an impression. In dad's case it didn't even leave a bruise of any sort . It is not that saying praise the Lord made it happen , it is that his love for God bore a witness of God's love in return. It was dad's nature to be a bit skeptic and try to reason some unusual circumstance out, and we even debated the possibilities, but when no reasonable means could be proven, we knew God had intervened. I fully understand what psychological responses are, and aware that some people are easily manipulated , and there are folk that do manipulate using them. this is wrong. Just as is using the power of Jesus name with out His instruction can do more harm than good, from an eternal perspective . Matthew 7;21,22,23, I am accountable for the truth from God's perspective, which is thorough . Any deceptions hinder our relationship. I am not perfect ,but I am a work in progress. One thing that helps me Is that this life is a test ,a proving ground ,not for this earth only but for eternal means well past my current understanding . I am not afraid of what is ahead and though I enjoy this life and the things being accomplished, this is all temporary , a stepping stone to a much larger more significant path. Praise God.
In the native American and other indigenous traditions, it is said that everything has spirit, which is another way of saying that everything is connected at the source. There is one consciousness, one field, one force that moves through all. This field is not happening around you, it's happening through you, and happening as you. You are the "U" in Universe. You are the eyes through which creation sees itself. When you wake from a dream, you realize that everything in the dream was you --you were creating it. So called "real life" is no different. Everyone, everything is "you" --the one consciousness looking out of every eye, under every rock, within every particle. To awaken one's true self, all beings must be awakened. We are ourselves becoming, in this journey, this beautiful mystery in which we can not afford to stand still in awe. Just as all matter in the universe, in all creation is constantly expanding, we, too are moving forward. Whether we remain as subservient beings to any perceived God, or dare to push beyond the constraints perceived by the mind is up to you. But, time is not inherent to this dimension, as it is relegated either to the fourth dimension, or it's independent of dimensional space, and we are not yet its master. Therefore, what you choose to think and do has relevance. The entire history of humanity from earliest conception to the end of all life of the Earth and our own star isn't even the blink of an eye in the lifespan of the immeasurable vastness and magnitude of space. Will we fade out of existence in a fiery ball of light, like the supernova of a star? Will we continue to move forward and reach into the abyss and become what may be waiting beyond the horizon of our perceptions?
