People don't want my ammo then I need to build a weapon that will use it. I'm sitting on 1,800 rounds of 40 S&W not cheap stuff I think maybe 100 rounds are FMJ the rest are JHP or steel rounds. I have been trying to sell this ammo for years now I'm going to make a weapon for the ammo I have! I'm interested in a AR-40 lower that takes Glock magazines. I don't mind a stripped lower but I'm also interested in compleat lowers. I have found a few places selling uppers with bolts but would like to hear what you all have to say. I believe I want to make this a AR-40 Thompson machine gun style of type so a binary trigger is also interesting to me! Information about AR-40 lower would be greatly appreciated! Also uppers for the AR system! I'm looking for what it's job is a pistol caliber carbine for CQB. Thanks.
For about $400 I don't think you can get more fun and versatile than this... Buy KelTec SUB2000 1625 Black 40 SW Semi Auto Rifle Online But if you're making a low-pro black budget carbine, I suppose an AR style would work. A little more money though.
You could try selling your ammo on GunBroker As for a 40 caliber carbine/pcc. Besides the one Brokor mentioned above CMMG, Ruger, Kriss and HiPoint already have these ready to go in 40s&w
Presumably you wanted to get rid of the .40 SW because you maybe decided on another caliber (I did the same, but was not sitting on a ton of ammo). I’d cut my losses and sell the ammo for what I could get. I’d use the proceeds to get a PCC in whatever caliber matches your preps. It sucks to take a loss, but simplifies your ammo situation. Maybe just hang onto the ammo until it becomes hard to get again, and it should be easier to get a price you can stomach. I’m pretty sure at some point in the future, it will be a seller’s market again.
ditto the s2k in 40. mine takes glock mags. hoffman is king. know anybody with a 3d printer? video My Best AR-9 Lower Yet stl file SL-9 V2.8 several kits on hoffman website to finish the build. not getting much cheaper then that.
Don't be in a rush. Hell sit on it till the next ammo buying panic and get top dollar. I sold 20 year old loose packed Ziploc 22lr ammo in 2021 for more than what new ammo costs now. I used the proceeds to buy more/better 22lr ammo.
