Any foodies besides me?

    Hi, my name is Hanzo and I am an addict. My major vice is food. I love to eat good food. I cook to eat. Well, and feed my family. Thankfully, they like my cooking.


    A few days ago, wifee wanted a spinach omelette. So I made us omelette. But the kicker was the topping. Fresh local Kamuela Farms tomatoes, with basil, parmessan and garlic roasted in olive oil and butter.



    Then we had a bunch of leftover rice from our soccer potluck. So fried rice.

    Lots of garlic. Cooking shows and chefs say not to brown or burn the garlic. But I love it that way. I salt it too to brown it. And a pat of butter never goes wrong.


    Add the rice. Then onion and bacon and fry it all up.


    Of course, you need to season it. I use salt, pepper, a splach of fish sauce, soy sauce and oyster sauce along with sesame oil. Once it is mixed and ready and really hot, I add eggs that I beat up.



    Then garnish and eat. The green onion is not just a garnich. It adds a nice flavor.



    And then, fried rice with vegetable tikka masala.

    Amazing... That meal is a masterpiece!

    We only get good tomatoes here for a few months during summer... Shipped in to a farmer's market from somewhere that has sunshine and temps above 66 degrees.

    Actually I eat simply. Camera magic only makes it look fancy. I have the special food edition iphone.

    Made eggs for wifee's breakfast. We are eating stuff in the fridge in case of an unlikely power outage and saving the dry stores.

    Eggs were regular, but they were topped with the avocado we gathered in the mountains and my Kamuela Farms tomatoes.

    I like garlic. I like it browned and salted. And I added it to the tomatoes wiht basil and parmesan.

    Today's food offerings. Pretty somple stuff and nothing fancy.

    Made breakfast for the wifee and me. Monkeys were still asleep, so they had to fend for themselves. Wifee likes to take the dog on a morning run before the sun comes up.

    Breakfast was fried rice omelette. We had leftover fried rice.




    Came home and made a late lunch. Nachos. Protein was chicken.



    And home late after soccer, so pho ga.
