This is an interesting post with a month of meals, including using leftovers I look at these as adding to the creative ways to use stores. As always, for me I like to add a bit more flavor so I also store whole spices, which are cheap in bulk. And these are great basic recipes that anyone can do One Month of Frugal Meals
Thank you for the link. I ended up spending a lot more time and wandering much farther out into the net then I planned. Expected something like how to use your preps for cooking in a single source and ended up reading some interesting blogs. Time well worth wasting.
Cheap meals!?!? That all I have been getting since New Years! Wife said we both had to go on diets due to the overindulgence over Christmas and New Years holidays so the damn cook has been on strike! Tried to cook myself...it was not a sight for a sober man and was plain dangerous too! So...so it's rabbit food...or so called 'cheap meals,' BAH!
I cook this on the cheap this time of the year. 1 head of cabbage, Clean it up and chop in bite size portions. 1# or so of smoked sausage or Tasso, Cut this up in bite size pieces. 5/7 red potatoes, Peel and cut up to bite size. Use a large pot add water, Throw everything in the pot and have it slow roll boiling. Add Slap ya mama seasoning or Tony's add salt to your taste. When you can easily pass a toothpick thru the potato's, It's Done!!!
