9/11 Remembrance Day 2018

I like that ,,,,

 

Never forget.

 

I haven't forgotten. I will never forget that morning at work. Folks were causing some hoopla, they had the conference room TV on. First crash, we thought it was a horrible accident. When the second one crashed, we knew it was an attack. State governor closed all state office buildings and sent us all home. Watched the Pentagon hit on TV at home. Got my preps in order.

 

Knew the pilot of one of the planes hijacked, never forget that he got up, kissed wife goodby, went to work on a routine day in a routine job with ever belief that he would come home and life would continue on for may years more. SHTF for him and his family and for many others that day. Never forget that it isn't words to say to be politically correct, it is to remember those that lost so much.

 

I was sitting in a VA hospital waiting when the first plane hit stunned silence... when you looked in the other veterans eyes you saw a mixture of rage, disbelief, and sorrow... Rage that it occurred, disbelief that it could happen on that scale here in the US, and sorrow that they couldn't respond and that their children would have too...

 

I was on my way to work when the 1st one hit,,,got to work and the a few people were watching the tube,,,they started filling me in on the situation,,,,then the 2nd one hit,,,,they were saying they couldn't believe it was happening,,,I was kind of stunned ,,but I said ,," I couldn't believe it took them this long to get here " ,,,this was said because a few short years earlier , I was in a country were the hatred for America was growing and the attacks on Americans were growing,,,,and now our own politicians want them to be allowed to freely enter into our country to freely roam our streets ,,,,and will make excuses for any of their attacks against us ,,,,This is a sad day for America,, a day of rememberance for the fallen , and the families of the fallen . And our servicemen and women past and present who still hold the values and traditions of this country.

 

RIP to everyone.

I heard about that. Only because he thinks they’ve gotten away with their crimes ,,,and they may have,,,

 

I’m no baby but it almost makes me wet my pants to think hillary almost made President. Trump has his ways but he is the best president since President Reagan or before. America is Great Again

Sometimes it's easy to see the faces of the fallen and not get the full impact as we are inundated every day with death and tragedy. One of the people in this picture, Tyrone Woods, is from my home and I went to 12 years of school with older relatives of his. Never forget these people, the people who truly sacrifice everything (unlike pampered failed athletes) are real people with real families and loved ones and not just faces on TV.

There were many real sacrifices made by 911 victims and first responders. People who knew they were going to die or very likely to die. People who didn't have to risk their lives but did so anyway. This is America.
