Probably the best ammo test video I've ever seen. Better fit than .32 S&W Long in 7.62x28R Nagant. I shot lots of that when the old S&W ammo was cheap and the Nagant ammo was hard to find. I don't think we'll ever see .38 Super being more available or cheaper than .357 Magnum, but it's a cool test. Makes me wonder how .38 Largo would do in a .38 Special? I missed the boat on that surplus ammo, but it was cheap while it lasted.
Interesting. The .38 Spec operates somewhere around 18,500 PSI for +P loads whereas the .38 Super Auto operates at about 36,000 PSI for +P according to the SAAMI specs. That would be really really pushing your luck in a .38 Special revolver, even one rated for +P. .357 mag operates at about 35,000 PSI so pretty close. Interesting tidbit in a SHTF situation where your choices may be limited.
