Although some fruits and vegetables such as Dragonfruit and Bitter Gourd may not be sold in major supermarkets, they can be found in specialty Asian garden produce stores. I like a number of these varieties because they don't readily resemble some of the more staple produce varieties, and readily lend themselves to stealth or guerilla gardening...that could be a plus in some situations when looters may not recognise those plants as food, or may be reluctant to chance unfamiliar plants which they may fear may be toxic / poisonous. Some plants just look like weeds...yet are wholesome to eat, or are hiding as tubers underground.
