yesterday was break 3d printed shit day. the orca a 3dp ar15 ran great but i didnt have a allen long enough to adjust the gas block, prob not gonna melt it 1 round at a time! i did break the rear site. i followed the print settings on the orca verbatim. the rest not so much, the flared magwell broke, mag holder stock for s2k, garden hose fitting all broke because i didnt adjust infill density, # of walls ect. all my fault. i guessed the pla ar waffle mag would last 10 rounds,,, it did 3 loads of 20 ea and cracked,, win? sure was pretty. all the glock internals worked great. well a little wd40 and it worked. 3 pins, trigger, trigger housing, rear cover and mag release all red. some of this is first stuff i printed and its all pla. maybe petg will make better parts? if i adjust infill, walls ect. and print it correctly.
allmost done with ams python. pics when its done. lessons learned. print it. break it. repete as nessisary. IMG_20250422_135202. IMG_20250422_135126.

I find that the number of walls has more bearing on breakage than infill density, unless at 100%.
What material are you using? PLA+, PTEG or something else?
My son was gifted some ASA from his boss. When he printed with it he said it smelled really bad (I didn't notice any smell) but it printed almost better than PLA. Downside is the bed and extruder are hotter than PLA. I think he was running his bed at 100°C and it took some time to get up there.
I printed a glock frame in PLA just for the fun of it, not sure I will put any internals in it.
