Happy New Year @Cruisin Sloth! It looks like a winter wonderland over there. I'm looking forward to seeing your gardens this year.
Right now I have lots of butternut squash, purple and yellow passionfruit, all kinds of peppers, rosemary, cat grass, grape fruits, dill, mizuna, and radishes to name a few.
Garlic is looking good and I'm growing some solo papaya trees in the greenhouse. I bought another lot that has cooler weather and I'm trying to grow blueberries and miracle berries over there.
What are your garden plans this year?

Got my garden seeds started this week. I also potted about 30 persimmon seeds and 30 Dunstan Chestnut trees. Really want to expand on the garden this year.
Mostly sweet peppers, tomatoes, squash and beans in the garden.
Persimmon seeds were from a tree we found at a campground where we harvested about 5 gallons of persimmon fruit. It was funny to have other campers asking what we were doing, and had to explain that the persimmon were edible. Some didn't believe us, even though we were eating one fruit for every 5 or so put into the bucket. Seeds were kept and stratified in the fridge with the chestnut seeds.
Looking forward to having a wonderful harvest this year as we'll be freezing, canning and freeze drying the spoils of our work.

Last year was my first real improvement in the gardens on the ranch.
Those hoop tubes were on sale for 150.00 CDN and the cover lasts a year , the replacement green house 8MIL plastic was replaced on three so far.
Plus I pulled out large areas of bushes for new berry's and grape vines.
Areas that had ground covers beside the shop and hanger were also removed and new dirt with rabbit / duck poop and hay with compost for this year. 11.
8 Mil new greenhouse plastic installed
    12.
Time to remove the snow and make power
    13.
One down , 4 to go
    14.
    Another one done 18.
Thats the original cover , will be replaced this year .
Now back to starting seeds (in pots ).

I purchased grow bags this year for the first time, so I can start them in the barn and then move them outside as it warms. Despite that we hit 55 degrees the past few days, it will be short lived at my 8,000 feet elevation. I still have a while to wait.
