Found some replacement lantern wicks at the Great Wall of China Mart -- not sure yet if they'll fit in my kerosene lanterns. Also found some "strike anywhere" matches at an Filipino market.

Built an AR lower and got in the upper for it, now I have 2 complete AR's (1 is none, 2 is one, and I know how to assemble/disassemble the lowers).

Also picked up my Savage 111 .300 Win Mag rifle. Still waiting on the scope, that should be in next week. Then get it bore sighted and off to the range :)

(yeah, I know I need pics, but I REALLY suck at taking pics of guns)

6 more tires mounted/balanced on rims, from a used tire shop $125.00 for the lot!
Most Recent acquisition was a bit different:
2 more complete V-8 318 ci engines, that will fit both of my Dodge vans!
$100.00 for one, the other: all I had to do was pull it out!
Both run, 1 was in a wreck, (free), the other was rebuilt,($100.00), the man died and they were cleaning out his garage!
Also we Bought two engine stands, and an engine hoist to go along with the motors.

I am experimenting (once again) with aromatherapy. I bought a nice selection of natural oils from Ananda, and even though the Frankincense was extremely expensive, it will be worth it. I also ordered a Raku Ceramic Necklace from Ebay to fill with oils and wear. No more expensive, bad perfumes!

Been a slow and chilly week.
Loaded some more .223Rem, 7.62X39 and .303 Brit ammo, and have a good side-box mount system on order for the KLR650 - I'll be able to mount bigger boxes than currently, for SHTF use and roadtrips.
Also just dropped $460+ for this past year's property taxes.
Need to put away a couple more five-gallon cans of gas - prices are edging upwards again!

Been getting misc. fishing tackle at walmart on CLEARANCE lately. They seem to be trying to get rid of "last years" stuff (like hooks will go dull in the package). So I've been collecting fishing tackle.

The last thing I got was a "minnow net", on clearance for $13.00, regular price $30.00. Now I just need to figure out how to use it as the directions were missing LOL

Picked up two orange five gallon Homer Buckets to try some dry food storage in. Have five smaller bottles that will each hold about 3.5lbs of rice or beans.

Now gotta get the rice & beans.... [fnny]

Just loaded up a few 20-round boxes of 8X57 Mauser. Finally got my dies in. I also converted 60 old .30-06 cases into 8X57 - new brass is scarce and ridiculously priced! [dunno]

Put another 10 gallons of gasoline in storage - total now 45 gallons.

What impresses me Seawolf is your slow and steady accumulation of supplies. You're a wonderful role model and a constant reminder that it's not the big bank breaking acquisitions that matter most but the daily adherence to the principles in which we all believe.

Picked up 5 5-gal buckets from Lowes, on clearance for $2.80/ea (lids were an additional $1.50/ea)
Going to put my order in for some hard red wheat, mylar bags, and O2 absorbers hopefully today.

Also have an excellent start on the garden plants this year.

Thanks, RH! Having no mortgage, and all vehicles paid for really helps!
This weekend I need to list all my food and ammo preps and see where I really stand.
I do have a few higher-dollar preps to do to try and make my casa more independent.
Gotta start beefing up home security too. Hate to lose everything I've built up to raiders.

Now that you have the big prize maybe you could start a thread with a synopsis of what topics are in each Foxfire book. Some of on a limited budget can not afford to buy them all and the ones like #7 will be all most worthless postSHTF. It would be useful to know what is in them before we buy.

I would be willing to help and do the few that I have.
