Slow week for preps, as we just had our fourth annual dual-sport motorcycle meet. I was on staff, and did the majority of grocery buying.

I put away ten pounds of long-grain rice, 8 cans of Campbell soups on a "buy one, get one free" deal, a heavy-duty cast aluminum large fry pan, similar square griddle pan, smaller covered pot, aluminum flat griddle.
I helped another rider do the breakfast cooking and Saturday Night Dinner.
Brought home a good amount of left-over foam plates, plastic and coffee cups and a lot of plastic tableware - it'll come in handy if power goes out, or water.
I also got a Mr. Heater Portable Buddy propane heater - it got into the low twenties down here over the MLK weekend meet! Kept us warm in the camp kitchen area. Got an electric blanket too, which made me quite toasty in my tent!
Just loaded up 200 rounds of .223Rem, first 100 using 55 grain Speer SP over H4895, second 100 using 62 grian Speer FMJ-BT over H4895.

Bunny cage is near completion and in need of five New Zealand does and a buck. 100 lbs Rabbit chow and a roll of alfalfa hay, eight rabbit feed bins and water bottles, 50 lbs cedar wood shavings. Ordered two bee-hive starter kits and plan to start producing honey in about a year, should do about 120 lbs of honey from the two hives per year, as well as increasing production from my fruit trees and garden.

Well havent gotten around to the computer much so its ben over the last couple weeks but put a 650 lbs boar hog in the frezer (sent a couple boxes of meat on to my sister who's haveing a hard time of it but still filled our freezer over half way), had to clean out all the old meats from the freezer so used those along with other scraps, bones and 30 lbs or so of rice and made up about 25-30 gallons of premium dog food. Got the cross cut 2 man saw, got an 'Old Hickory' skinning knife for $4 from and a Zippo for $1 from the antique shop.

Then most important thing I started putting away this week....education. I started the accademy this week. Looking at the schedule this will be my only saturday off for the next few months and the rest of the time will be in class Mon-Sat all day every week for 16 weeks but after that SHOULD be able to get a job in most markets in our state and a good start in others and best of all it would be a job where I can get paid just for being a sheepdog which I cant really help anyhow.

I did not put this away but it all for postSHTF use.
I got my tractor running, well at least running better. When I got it the tank was full of rust I got all of it out that I could but the fuel filter is plugging up now, so I am gong to a sediment bowl on it to trap the rust before it get to the filter.
When it is running right it does not lack for power. I was plowing 8” of snow tonight in 3H {6th gear} rolling the snow 6” above the top of the blade and it did not even think about slowing down. It needs more weight on the rear tires when using the front blade, it is a set and spin in reverse.

As of now I need to -
    Reflush the tank
    Change the fuel filter.
    Add a sediment bowl.
Add another set of tire chains, it has one set on it now and that is not enough.
Build a weight box to mount on the 3 point hitch.
Change or cut 2 ribs of tread from the front tires.
Make heaver wheel weights for the front tires or get them fluid filled.
Get the rear tires fluid filled or get new ones.
Make a add on weight for the right rear tire.
    New points and condenser.
    Change all of the fluids.
    New belts.
Derust, repair and paint all of the attachments.
    Fix the hood.
    Paint the tractor.
Make a sickle bar cutter and a hay rake.
    Make a belly blade.
Make a blade for the 3 point hitch.
There is more I will think of but that will keep me busy for now.
When I get some more done on it I will post some photos so you all can see what free looks like.

Got a 35KW generator powered by a Volkswagen turbo-diesel and a 100 gallon fuel tank. Got a small rotor-tiller, three more apple trees and three more pear trees. Starting to lay in a bed of asparagus this week so I bought a bunch of crowns. Set out two rows of strawberries. Got both my mature does bred with giant Flemish bucks and picked up a young giant Flemish buck and five New Zealand/Californian does. I have a 12' x 24' aluminum building that I am going to move over here in the next couple weeks to use as storage and pantry. It was a FEMA temporary office building so it is heated and has air conditioning.

Not today, but, quite soon....(finishing the email!)
I'll be putting away my vision's of a nice retreat place in Arizona....
As I remove myself and 5 others, from "their" group.
Seems we have had a slight communication's problem....
    They lied.
    End of story.....

Now, we did get another case of 96 rolls of TP, "don't leave home without it"!
Oh yeah, and 16 lbs of ground coffee in individual packets! (168 ct.)
Now, our storage is filled with supplies, and that's a 10 x 15 unit, with no walking room left and it's packed to the doors!

Got my bike paid off, and received the Title yesterday - Bubbye, HSBC!

Now, other than annual property tax, I owe NOBODY a red cent! That is a good feeling in this day of financial difficulties! I have NO mortgage, no vehicle payments, no credit bills. Priceless!

    More money for preps! [fnny]
