Went and replaced the factory (crappy) trigger in my LR308 (AR10) with a Geissele Two Stage National Match Trigger, the second stage breaks at 8oz's consistant. This cost me $280.00 out of MidwayUsa. This is byfar the best trigger that you can have in a AR style weapon if you can afford it and you and the weapons accuracy is up to it.

Had a productive long weekend of reloading.
200 rounds of 7.62X39 using Remington and Winchester brass, and 100 ea. of 123 gr. SP and 125 gr. Spitzer SP. Test one box - it shot as well as Remington commercial - far superior to Wolf noise-makers! My Yugo SKS loved it!
Also loaded and stashed 350 .45 ACP, using 200 gr. plated round nose over Bullseye powder.
Scarfed up more brass from the range.
This, week I finish the 500-rounds of .45 ACP for the SHTF stash, then start in on .308 Win and 7.62X51.

On the food front, I just wandered into and discovered Sportsman's Warehouse's hiking/camping and outdoor cooking sections.... WHOA! I have found the Mother Lode! More black cast iron cookware than I've seen outside the Lehman's catalog! Four times the MH meal choices of Wally's! I picked up a couple new ones to try - the potatoes & beef is pretty danged good! I'll be stocking up on these - pricing is comparable to online, with no shipping or wait!
Good selection of hurricane lamps and camping lanterns, stoves, dish & cookware, etc.
I may not be using my Campmor catalog again....

Loaded 500 rounds of .40S&W FMJ ammo. That along with what I loaded a couple of weeks ago filled a .30cal ammo can to the brim and left about 100 "extra".
Picked up some more .40 brass that is once fired, that gives me about 8k pieces of once fired brass.
I'll be picking up some brass from the range to get some more 9mm for the wife, gonna load up about 1k rounds for her this weekend.

Great Wall-of-China Mart has 60-hr emergency candles for 2.97 -- picked up a few. Can you believe they're made in the US of A?

Have you tested the burn time?

Got the garden ready, planted an herb garden and did some reloading. I helped a friend move some stuff and was given a working Hewlett Packard Defibillator with monitor. That may come in handy. Made survival kits for each vehicle. Changed spark plugs and anti freeze in my jeep.

I bought some chocolate in a can from MRE Depot. Something silly, but if it goes downhill it will be something to make life just a tad more bearable. And it offsets the 5k in 7.62x39 I bought.

I thought I'd replied to this earlier but I guess not... it appears a candle's burn time will be very good -- possibly every bit of what the label claims. I might have to go get a few more.

It still baffles me that they're made in the US and sold at Walmart :^)
