Ammo .270

    Anyone know where I can get some good .270 for cheap. I don’t care if it’s reloaded or what, I need it for hunting. The stuff I normally buy is up to $45 bucks a box. Sighting in my gun is going to eat up the last few rounds I have but I don’t want to drop that much on 20 more rounds. Maybe I’ll just hunt with my Mosin Nagant this year. What the Hell happened to Ammo prices anyway. I know I haven’t bought ammo for my .270 in like two years but inflation doesn’t work that fast.

    Sportsman's guide.com ( they ship quickly) has had some decent choices in ammo .. lets see what .270brings: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/browse/browseammo.aspx?c=96&s=913 champagne ain't cheap.:)
    Perhaps its well past time to start using RCBS,lyman,lee or other brands?

    Thanks. There are some cheaper options there just hope they work ok on a white tail at about 150 yards. [beer]
    PS: I'm not sure why my last post was bold. I wrote it in a word document I had open so I think it just transferred wrong.

    Try your local Walmart , the one near me has Federal Hunting Ammo in 30-06 308 and 270 for about $16 a box of 20 .

The gun shop down the road has 100 grain ammo for 20 but i normally get the 150 grain. I guess I'll just make due. Not very likely I'll be making a lot of long shots during hunting season anyway.

    i just bought a few boxs of .270 winchester ammo from walmart a few days ago i think it was around 18.00 or under but it is 150 grain.
