Been quite busy lately with life and building a new truck. My '74 K5 Blazer is getting a facelift with a better condition body and frame. It's a lot of work stripping a rig and transferring parts (engine, transmission, transfercase, drivelines, axles, wheel and tires) from one to the other. It will be worth the effort once I'm done. The old rig is almost completely stripped and my new rig is a rolling chassis.
Well the 3 prospects I had for a new job a week or 2 ago all 3 went belly up but got a call earlier in the week that one of the companies is supposed to be trying to place me now and will call me when its time to go. Havent heard from them since last Tuesday but still hopeful...and afraid to call since ticked of the head of personel there by calling to often in the past.
"Wit' 'er one eye on the clock "and the other on the ceiling --" T- I'll give you a hint on that one. Harry --
Lyric. Knowing it was on an album by Harry Bellefonte help any? That one is tough, so how about "Oh, where have you been, Billy Boy, Billy Boy_-"
...Are her eyes very bright, Charming Billy? Yes, her eyes are very bright, But, alas, they're minus sight. She's a young thing, And cannot leave her mother. I give up on the first one... Name that tune!
Don't listen to them... We just opened some Christmas gifts yesterday (of course, we're disavowing all knowledge of package contents until late December ).
"The Drummer and the Cook" Harry did it back in the 60s. It is a very old Cockney air that I think was more than anything else a drinking song. Harry's version is pretty clean, but you can easily imagine some impromptu verses.
Pretty cool! My friend Shannon is a Hurricane Hunter, and the news filmed them in Biloxi yesterday! http://www.cbs46.com/video/index.html Make sure you look for the "Hurricane Hunter" video....
