I just completed a build on another Fn Fal. This one has a DSA receiver. The bottom one is my STG58 that I just parkerized. The new one is awaiting the correct locking shoulder (head-spacing .253) before I can break it in.

Maybe this summer, at this point I practically have to use leave to get out of the office with all of the 7 day weeks I have been working. My last day off was 3/15. Damn people won't quit eating.
Man I bought 2 kits and receivers back during the WR days but never did build them. Now I forget what to do with them and can't even find everything, like the receivers. Bought some real nice DSA furniture too.
If you find them and want to get rid of them, let me know. Or if you need help building them; I got all the tools and have built a couple of them and gotton over the learning curve.
nah, but if you need to borrow a barrel wrench, go no-go gauges, head-space pins, the best book available on building them and a box of band-aids, let me know and I'll send them.
I actually have all that - I can't find the Imbel receiver or receivers I bought. I was real sick when we moved and everything was packed by "others". I have found about everything but the damn receivers!

They look great. I'll always have a thing for the FAL, the L1A1 was what I carried most of my Army career, it was very comforting having such a weapon for company in some of the places that I was sent. Tony
