The citizenry are total morons. It is too late. They had their chance. They threw away their freedoms and their lives and now they are sucking me down with them. I will go down with them. The poisoning of our water, our food crops with GM, the building of a psychotic, fat, drugged, mindless population... It is too late. I am capable of living without electricity and without grocery stores. The NWO cannot grow their poisons without electricity and they can't distribute them without mass transit, air planes, etc... So the time has come. I am less safe now because of society than I would be without it. The social contract is null and void. You people are on your own. I am not responsible for what happens next. There was a time I didn't vote for anybody running for office but voted on Ballot Measures or changes to legislation. I accept responsibility for my actions in my voting choices since then, regardless of how good, bad or indifferent the outcome was in voting for that candidate. Probably no more, I have lost faith in our democratic process and don't feel it really matters who gets into office. Wait a minute, I've always thought that so why have I been voting. Oh yeah, I helped do my part in keeping Kerry and Gore out of the Oval Office.

Yeah I figure the only point to voteing anymore is to let TPTB know you aint happy with their BS. Wont change anything and the 'results' are determined before the first ballot is cast but figure MAYBE it lets them get a temperature of the mood and might let them know getting overly stupid could be conducive to poor health. Kind of like RPs run for office, like him or not I figure most would be able to recognize that given the amounts of money he raised and the average donations alone SHOWS he had a considerable number of supporters who were NO likely to give money to his campaign then not even vote for him in the primaries then figure at least double that for votes to him and he would have at LEAST had a decent showing in the primaries. Yet he supposedly was barely even a blip on the radar at the polls, BS. Results are determined before ballots are cast.
I will never understand why people will vote when their vote wont ever account for anything. The so called super delegates are the ones who control it all and the regular citizens "voice of the people" went out the window a long time ago. I admit, I don't have a handle on politics since I'm an outsider to most here (american born, but lived in a different country), but even my father who is 78 and voted since he was 18 every year, will not be wasting the fuel to spend a few minutes in the booth because even to him it's not worth the time or effort.
.....I have always assumed that by voting, you are tacitly saying that you agree to the Dermocratic Process ( Yes, I know the difference between Democracy and a Representative Republic--That's why I say "Democracic"); and that you intend to abide by the results of the Democratic Process; whether you personally argee with the outcome; or not. .....Personally, I believe that I have a certain number of inalienable rights; regardless of what the majority may say. Putting these rights on the election block only legitamizes the idea that they're optional and not essential. .....Secondly, AT BEST I will only pay pragmatic attention to rules I dissagree with--and I may very well be driven to open acts of Cival Disobedience; even when such resistence is pragmatically suicide. .....And this is one of the few places that I can say that with some hope that at least the majority will understand my point--agree; or not--but UNDERSTAND! .....RVM45
I'd say we all understand it well enough. The problem comes when and where your own personal line in the sand gets drawn. Gradually chipping away at things will have the sure and certain effect of moving the line in the wrong direction. I can see where folks that have others depending on them might tolerate more movement of the line than those of us that are single and thus more willing to pull up short and say, "Thus and NO MORE!!"
For what it's worth, I totally agree with most of your rant... For instance, look at the drug addiction rate, the approximate 10 million abortions per year, news media obsessed with socialism, etc. The destruction of America has been slow and deliberate ranging from the "highest educational" professors to the lowliest poor person wanting a free hand-out. From medical establishments to charities. Most of us who frequent this bbs are all about preparing and would like to be able to live "off-the-grid". We'll be better prepared than most, but it doesn't mean we're going to not be affected when the balloon goes up. My hope isn't in some group of people to save us from this zeitgeist -- that's not going to happen -- only God can save us now. Treasure here is nothing compared to treasure layed up for heaven, but I'm doing what I can here for my family like I ought to be.
The vote of the super delegates only counts in the Democratic Convention. I do however understand what you are saying, but I will continue to cast my ballot. I feel it is my duty, whether it matters or not. I also agree that the "voice of the people" goes unheard.
I may not understand the whole political issue, but I do see and understand the rights of the people and how they have changed over the course from the Revolutionary War. Being in the states now for nearly 10 years I know that the American citizens understand and uphold the laws of the constitution more than those in office. Those in office, make up their own rules and they expect others to follow those rules. However, what they just don't get and yes, there is ALOT they don't get, is that what works in D.C doesn't work anywhere else. They never stroll past that city and see how their bs affects others.
