Throwing a comma after every three or four words is not correct. Makes your post hard to read.
Then and Than - NOT INTERCHANGEABLE! They have different meanings.

I got my first cellphone because my motorcycle broke down one morning going into work. I was in the middle of town, and could not find a phone! Luckily a coworker saw me and stopped to help. I got the cellphone later that day!
